Since 2004 the Rutland Company's have responsible for over $200 million in contracted services across all business segments.

Matt also oversees corporate marketing, new business development, information technology and finance for the firm.

The Rutland Company's projects include, but not limited to; gulf front, luxury condominium buildings with resort community "gathering places" and commercial support centers for a resort rental community providing a beach club and a variety of commercial, retail mixed-use services and products.

While with the company, Matt has formed and participated as a member of a series of limited liability companies which have been created to own, design, construct, finance, develop, sell and manage real estate. His current projects include, 393 Park North, Rosa Del Mar, LLC and Beach Drive Associates, LLC.

In 2006 Matt co-founded Rutland Resort Properties. Prior to his current responsibilities, Matt served as Director of Commercial Brokerage for Chastain Commercial Real Estate Services a commercial real estate brokerage and investment firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Matt has been responsible for creating and implementing strategic real estate plans for large corporations such as Accenture, Dollar General, PNC Bank, URS Engineering. These strategic plans provided large corporations the road map and flexibility for their ever changing real estate requirements. Many of the plans created for these users resulted in the reduction of costs while maximizing operational efficiencies by implementing industry best practices.

Matt is presently or has been a member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks, National Apartment Association, National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors and Emerald Coast Association of Realtors. Matt currently holds an active Florida real estate license and also maintains an active real estate sales license in Georgia which he earned in March of 1999. Matt is currently a designee for his Certified Commercial Investment Member CCIM designation. He is enrolled in the Sun'aq Tribe of Kodiak, Alaska and is a shareholder in the Native of Kodiak, Inc and Koniag, Inc both federally recognized tribes. Matt graduated from Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business/Spanish and minored in Management Information Systems. He currently resides in Miramar Beach, Florida with his wife and two sons and is expecting his third child in September of this year.
